11/12/10  Nissan recalls 600,000 vehicles for steering and battery cable problems.  These include 303,000 Frontier Pickups, 283,000 Xterras and 18,500 Sentras.  Nissan will begin notifying owners in early December.

10/27/10  BMW is recalling approximately 130,000 2007-2010 BMWs for fuel pump issues.

8/9/10  Honda is recalling approximately 384,000 vehicles for problems with the ignition interlock.  This system could potentially fail, allowing vehicles to roll away even though drivers believe their vehicles are safely parked.

8/10 - Lawsuit Leads to Debate on Recalled Rental Cars

Two consumer safety groups are asking the Federal Trade Commission to order Enterprise Rent-A-Car to start fixing every vehicle with a safety recall before renting them to consumers. The groups say the request highlights the lack of a requirement that rental companies must fix recalled vehicles before renting them.
